About

Profile

Product manager, builder, occasional musician.

I build products for a living and build other things for fun. Most weeks that means one serious project, a few half-finished experiments, and a playlist I can't stop editing.

I grew up taking things apart, and some of them went back together. Somewhere along the way that turned into a career in product: figuring out what to build, why it matters, and how to get it out of the door without breaking the people building it.

Outside work I make music, ride motorcycles badly but enthusiastically, and travel whenever there's a long weekend and a full tank. Rohit.Today is where all of it goes.

How I work

I'm a product manager who works best close to the problem: talking to users, writing the spec, and staying in the room with engineering until it ships. I've worked on consumer and B2B products, and lately I spend most of my time on AI products and on the question of how to tell whether they're any good.

  • Start with the person, not the feature. Most bad roadmaps are lists of features nobody asked for.
  • Write it down. A one-page memo settles more arguments than a week of meetings.
  • Ship the boring version first, then earn the right to make it clever.
  • Measure what changed for the user, not what changed in the dashboard.
